Group Blog: Getting Started

Hey there! I'm back! It's already time for a new project in class! A music video!!! I'm working in a group with two other girls from my class, Rowyn and Kylie. I chose to work with them because they are my friends. Aside from that, I know the three of us will get the video done to the best of our ability. Some of us may not be the best actors but we will get it done lol. The song we chose is I Can See You (Taylors Version) by Taylor Swift. We chose this song because in honor of Halloween coming up, the plot of our music video is going to be a bit spooky. I Can See You has the type of lyrics that are perfect for the video plot! In addition to that we all love Taylor Swift. The roles in the video aren't confirmed, but we have an idea of what roles are going to be in the video. I was going to make it as a surprise, but my role is a stalker. Like I said its not completely confirmed, but it's very likely my role will stay the same. I am so excited to make the music video with these two girls because they are so fun to be around and work with. I will update you guys on how the video is going! It's time to get to work! Editing: Sound Effects

 Hey blog! I'm back! Today I continued to edit our final task! Today was mainly focused on the sound effects of the film. So far we have completed the title and transitions. My group mate Kylie stepped up for the job of sound effects so I helped in areas they I knew. We wanted to find the scenes with suspense to figure out where different music will be placed. This way we can find sounds on YouTube or other websites to add on top of our footage. Being able to find the right music took a bit of time but eventually we found something. Actually adding the sound effects was a bit difficult. I had to time the video and the sound effect correctly to make it sound and look perfect. After watching the video over and over again everything finally worked out. It took a bit longer then is was supposed to. In the end it looked good so the time was worth it. Reflection-All About Me Commercial

 What technology did you learn to use?  While making this commercial I learned more about iMovie, Capcut, and YouTube throughout the process. Using iMovie was a lot more difficult than I though it was going to be. Editing was the most important part about making this commercial. You might be able to add a ton of photos into iMovie, but the commercial wont come together unless it's edited. Originally I was going to use CapCut because lately I've been seeing seeing CapCut edits all over TikTok. I thought I would be able to make a commercial with it. Turns out CapCut isn't very easy to use. YouTube was pretty easy to use. all i had to do was upload my video, but i did need a bit of help with that lol. What did you learn about the process of putting a project together? One of the biggest things I learned was that the process takes time. I wanted to rush and get my commercial done. I think I could've made it better if I took my time with it. Another thing is time management....
