Research and Planning

 

In class we are making a commercial about ourselves. I have to choose a few photos and videos as well as a song. At first I wasn't sure what I wanted to put in my commercial because I never take any photos or videos of myself. I also wanted to pick a song that represents me and matches my energy. It took me forever to figure out what to do but I finally came to a decision. My song is called Candy by Robbie Williams. A few of my videos are of me playing volleyball. Volleyball is my favorite sport to play and I've been playing it for a while so I knew I need to include some videos from my games. Of course I need some baby photos in my commercial. I know I grew up but I will always be a little kid at heart. I included tons of photos of me with my friends because I wouldn't be where I am today without them. They are such a big part of my life and I love them all so much. My family is one of the most important things to me on this entire planet. I love them so very much. Right away I knew I needed to add photos of them in there! I added a few little clips of me smiling and laughing because I believe laughter is the best medicine. I can be having the absolute worst day of my life and the second someone makes me laugh I'm all better. Sleeping is may favorite thing to do so of course I had to add some sleeping photos in there. Lastly, I wanted to put to put some silly photos of me because that's my personality! The photos and song I chose represent me perfectly. Lets hope my editing skills are good because I want to make this commercial as amazing as possible! Bye for now!

Editing: Sound Effects

 Hey blog! I'm back! Today I continued to edit our final task! Today was mainly focused on the sound effects of the film. So far we have completed the title and transitions. My group mate Kylie stepped up for the job of sound effects so I helped in areas they I knew. We wanted to find the scenes with suspense to figure out where different music will be placed. This way we can find sounds on YouTube or other websites to add on top of our footage. Being able to find the right music took a bit of time but eventually we found something. Actually adding the sound effects was a bit difficult. I had to time the video and the sound effect correctly to make it sound and look perfect. After watching the video over and over again everything finally worked out. It took a bit longer then is was supposed to. In the end it looked good so the time was worth it. Reflection-All About Me Commercial

 What technology did you learn to use?  While making this commercial I learned more about iMovie, Capcut, and YouTube throughout the process. Using iMovie was a lot more difficult than I though it was going to be. Editing was the most important part about making this commercial. You might be able to add a ton of photos into iMovie, but the commercial wont come together unless it's edited. Originally I was going to use CapCut because lately I've been seeing seeing CapCut edits all over TikTok. I thought I would be able to make a commercial with it. Turns out CapCut isn't very easy to use. YouTube was pretty easy to use. all i had to do was upload my video, but i did need a bit of help with that lol. What did you learn about the process of putting a project together? One of the biggest things I learned was that the process takes time. I wanted to rush and get my commercial done. I think I could've made it better if I took my time with it. Another thing is time management....
